Nike, Got2B and Revry Bring an Intersectional Queer Sport to Life: Pride Ball

Entered in LGBTQ+

Objectives

Revry, the first global LGBTQ+ streaming service, announced a new original program at the 2023 IAB Newfronts, called Pride Ball. Pride Ball is a vigorous ballroom competition where teams, known as "Houses," are pitted against each other in a series of themed categories that incorporate dance and fashion with athletic styles such as acrobatics and gymnastics. Ballroom competition is deeply entwined into the history and culture of the queer community and Revry was ready to bring it to TV.

This groundbreaking evolution in sports entertainment was sponsored by Nike–the renowned sportswear brand that supports those who defy boundaries and redefine possibility by staying true to themselves. Co-sponsor göt2b–a leading bold color and hairstyling brand from Henkel–brought its innovative products into the competition so the individuals can embrace their unique style, encourage self-expression, and ignite confidence.

Featuring 8 categories, celebrity judges, special guests, and cash prizes–this ball was not to be missed!

The categories were unique authentic to the ballroom and LGBTQ+ community:
