Bare Republic has always been reef-friendly and proud to see policies like the recent toxic sunscreen ban in Hawaii put into place to protect our planet. Some say that we're all a product of our environment, and Bare Republic strongly believes that. As a result, Bare Republic demands a product that can protect our skin without compromising the very spots we all like to play in. Bare Republic's biodegradable, eco-active Mineral Sunscreens are formulated without chemical actives, parabens, synthetic fragrances, or anything else we wouldn't want to put on our skin or leave behind in nature.

Through leveraging social media, Bare Republic set out to increase consumer awareness around the recent ban and the danger of toxic sunscreens to the coral reefs and the environment. Bare Republic shared the news of the Hawaii ban and information on eco-active mineral sunscreen on GoBareRepublic.com, an e-blast to more than 30K+ people and nearly a dozen social media posts across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Bare Republic also leaned on their large network of influencers to spread the word about the risk of toxic sunscreens on the enviorment.

Results

As the result of their social efforts, e-mails and blog post, Bare Republic generated more than 1M impressions around the importance of using eco-active mineral sunscreen for the health of the coral reef.
