In May 2023, Producer Entertainment Group, along with our partners set up to raise funds for the LGBTQ community at the height of the drag bans with our 'Drag Isn't Dangerous' campaign and fundraiser. This video was aimed to highlight local talent who gets affected the most with these hateful laws and show the beauty that lives within the queer community.
It was an all hands on deck situation with our employees, partners, clients, and allys who got together and we put on a livestream telethon event were we raised 500k for the LGBTQ community. We worked tirelessly for weeks to not only raise awareness and funds but also highlight how strong this community is and no matter when we're being attacked we fight back time and time again. We did this in less than two months. This video was part of a few pre-taped segments that aired within the telethon.
Our efforts were a success in numerous avenues such as raising awareness, funds, and showcasing all the beauty that the LGBTQ community has to offer regardless of what is thrown in our direction.
