RapCaviar Presents Custom Art Collaboration With Creator @josiel.gco

Entered in Instagram Partnership

Objective

Based on Spotify’s flagship hip-hop playlist, “RapCaviar Presents” is a Hulu Original documentary series that tackles today’s most provocative issues through the lens of hip-hop.

This six-part series is a deep dive into current events that untangles important subjects and offers a view of the world from an artist’s perspective. With a focus on candid, riveting storytelling, each episode examines a deep-rooted issue affecting hip-hop artists, their fans, and society at large, including explorations of mental health, women’s sexuality, the criminalization of rap, social media criticism, and the cost of virality.

Hulu Originals’ objective was to create awareness and buzz for “RapCaviar Presents” in a way that felt authentic to the spirit of the limited series.

Strategy

Hulu Original “RapCaviar Presents” episodes each focus on a different musical talent in the hip-hop genre, and how they contributed to that growing community. Josiel Correa's unique style and appreciation for the works of these artists are used with great finesse to underscore each individual's influences and contributions.

Correa's pieces feature six beloved artists or groups, surrounded by iconography emblematic of their style and origins of influence. Tyler The Creator, City Girls, Polo G, and Coi Leray possess flashy, dark, or poppy imagery, tailored to each artist, while the animated poster for Roddy Ricch utilizes a spinning silver record. The striking images act as eye-catching for audiences, driving them to tune in and learn more about who these artists truly are.
