Augmented Reality--Air Force One

Objectives

As part of the election coverage Alhurra’s News and Creative Services teams wanted to come up with creative ways to help explain the job of the U.S. President and where he works.

Strategy and Execution

Instead of producing a package on Air Force One, Alhurra’s Creative Services team came up with an augmented reality video. The U.S. President’s plane is often talked about, but not something a regular person gets to explore. By using augmented reality, Alhurra’s Creative Services team came up with a way that lets viewers feel like they are actually on Air Force One with the anchor.

Results

The video had nearly 600,000 views on Facebook with lots of comments saying they enjoyed watching the video. And although many commenters joked about buying the plane, it shows that they watched it and learned more about Air Force One.
