Objectives

Women Will is a Grow with Google program that believes when women have equal access to information and opportunity, anything is possible!

On International Women's Day, we launched on Instagram to inspire and connect with our growing global audience and people passionate about closing the gender gap.

Strategy and Execution

Our content strategy is based on 3 pillars:

Inspiration: Sparking inspiration though introducing women breaking barriers across the world

Notable pioneers

• Ruth Handler, inventor of Barbie and the first prosthetic bra by women for women
• Ismat Chughtai, writer whose books were swiftly banned across South East Asia for their take on marriage, class and sexuality. 

Education: Uncovering #sadfacts or insights about the gender gap in sports, art, entertainment, work, parenting, etc. 

• Gender gap online: More women are uncomfortable revealing their full names online compared to men
• Only 17% of women filed patents in 2018

Activation: Sharing our programs, like Internet Saathi and the Data Explorer  to invite our community to participate and share. 

• Created inclusive Giphy stickers to encourage everyone to share their Women Will spirit. Our colorful and fun take on stickers encourage people to get excited about empowerment. 
• Share our the excitment locally at our leadership and entrepreneurship workshops. 

Results

• 100% organic growth without any media 
• Roughly half of our audience is men - because when women prospers, everyone prospers
• 2 million Giphy impressions
