The Russian confectioner’s iconic “mirror cakes”—reminiscent of precious stones—captured the internet’s attention in May 2016 when Bored Panda and BuzzFeed shared the luxurious confections she had featured on Instagram. Overnight, Olga and her cakes went viral, climbing from 34,000 @olganoskovaa Instagram followers to 300,000 in one day, and attracting media coverage by Bravo TV’s blog The Feast and Today.com. Now with 600K+ Instagram fans, Olga has expanded her cake-capades to include YouTube vlogs and fan cake-sharing, including her 2016 #icakeyou Olympic Cake Challenge in celebration of the Rio games.
